Prior to the UK leaving the European Union transport goods between the UK and Europe was fairly seamless and straightforward with few additional costs. Since Brexit all goods need to be imported and exported using customs clearance agents. Don't worry, we are here to help with the red tape if you choose.
It is now essential that all goods are cleared through customs before goods can enter or leave countries in the EU. Obviously this incurs a charge to the customs teams for the correct documents.
Currently for each consignment of any size the charges are:
UK export - £45 UK import - £80
EU export - 60€ EU import- 90€
Finding the correct paperwork means liaising with a UK customs agent and an EU customs agent from the destination country. Eurogearshift offer an optional liaison service where we will deal with customs on your behalf saving you hours of paperwork and ensuring your goods have the correct documents to transport.
